[The Process]

Thirteen stages, executed end to end

NYC is among the most demanding jurisdictions in the country. Here's exactly how we move your application from inquiry to licensed.

  1. Stage 01
    Lead / Inquiry

Prospect reached out or completed the eligibility quiz.

  2. Stage 02
    Eligibility Screened

Age, residency/business, and disqualifier screen complete.

  6. Stage 06
    Document Collection

References, cohabitant affidavits, social media list, safe photos, ID, proof of residence.

  7. Stage 07
    Notarization

Character references and cohabitant affidavits notarized.

  8. Stage 08
    Application Assembled & QA'd

Full application packet assembled and quality-checked.

  9. Stage 09

Application submitted on the NYPD Licensing portal.

  10. Stage 10

In-person fingerprinting and License Division interview scheduled.

  11. Stage 11
    Under NYPD Investigation

Background check and good-moral-character investigation underway.

  12. Stage 12
    Decision

NYPD has issued a decision on the application.

  13. Stage 13
    Licensed / Renewal Due

License issued (3-year term). Renewal tracked automatically.

[Twenty-four documents, in order]

Every piece the License Division asks for — tracked to its citation, in the order they want it.

Nothing here is a surprise, and nothing gets lost. Miss one and the application bounces; this is the list, grouped the way the case actually moves.

The Refile Promise

If we assemble your filing packet and the License Division returns it as incomplete, we reassemble it and you refile at no additional charge from us. Government fees are set by the City and the State; we do not control them and cannot refund them. This is a promise about our work — not about the outcome of your application. The NYPD retains full investigative discretion.

CARRY is a private document-preparation and case-management service. We are not attorneys and do not represent you before the NYPD License Division. We cannot expedite or guarantee any outcome, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by the NYPD or any government agency. You review and submit your own application, and the NYPD retains full investigative discretion.
